Glocal Actors

A plethora of glocal actors -- with impacts large and small -- on and across the global community. Glocalization at work! There is no particular order to items on the list below -- new entries appear as I encounter them -- and ponder their impact. So -- let's venture forward!

1. The Vatican

Ah -- a place / an institution -- home to the Pope in Italy! And much more. It stands for the religious heritage and central guiding force of a global faith. Local in place -- global in impact. And now the Vatican has issued "an update" on "the original seven dealy sins" -- more appropriate for our era of "unstoppable globalization." In addition to the original seven -- there are now "seven modern mortal sins" -- sins that take note of man's ability to "sin locally" with "global repercusions" -- not a new phenomenon, but certainly a re-energized focus to reflect current sins and the broader web they weave! And there is the nagging question -- is this just a new way to increase attendance at Confession? Inquiring minds -- and guilty sinners -- certainly want to know!
